Where can I read today's paper from the New York Times?

DIGITAL ACCESS: As of August 14, 2024 students, staff, and faculty can access the New York Times online, as well as New York Times Games, Cooking, Wirecutter, and The Athletic.

 

To set up a NEW account, follow these steps:

1. Go to accessnyt.com

2. Look up the

  1. Look up the "University of Saint Mary - Leavenworth, KS"

3. Create (if you don't have one) an account using your USM email address.

EXISTING registered subscribers with ACTIVE PAID subscriptions:

Active paid subscribers need to cancel their personal subscription by connecting with a chat agent on the site or calling 800-698-4637 before creating an account. Once the subscription is canceled, you can visit accessnyt.com, type in the school name, and follow the instructions based on your location (on or off campus). Since the subscriber “Already has an account " you click “Log In" (Found below "Create an Account"). Input your USM email address and the same “Password” created for their previous account. 

If the subscriber encounters an error message the subscriber can email edu@nytimes.com.

 

EXISTING registered subscribers that DO NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE NYT subscription:

Visit accessnyt.com, type in the name of the school, and follow the instructions based on their location. Since the subscriber "Already has an account " you click “Log In" (Found below "Create an Account"). Input your USM email address and the same “Password” created for your previous account. If the subscriber encounters an error message that subscriber can email edu@nytimes.com.

A Note about Student Accounts: Students have access to the New York Times until December 31 of the year they graduate. For example, a student graduating in May 2025 will have access until December 31, 2025.

 

LIMITED FREE ACCESS to articles are also available to patrons at the NYT website: http://www.nytimes.com/. This website contains images, video, and other media. This access is not associated with any library or USM subscriptions. Access limitations as established by the NYT Company apply to use by patrons.
